In June of 2010, Art joined Independent Retirement Consulting as a Managing Consultant.
Art has more than 30 years of experience in Retirement Plan Administration. His career began at Standard Insurance Company where he designed computer systems to comply with ERISA. He then transferred to and eventually managed the Retirement Plan Administration Department. Following a brief tenure with Stonewall Pension Services, Art joined National Associates, Inc., N.W. in 1991 as a Consultant and Portland Office Manager. From 1994 through 2009 Art served as the President of National Associates.
He earned a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation. As a member of the National Institute of Pension Administrators (NIPA), Art served on the Board of Directors for nine years and as President from 2003 through 2005
